Many of us will have grown up with the classic children’s books of American author and cartoonist Dr. Seuss. With his signature evocative and rhyming text and array of outlandish creatures, Dr.Seuss has delighted countless generations and we have no doubt he’ll continue to do so for many more to come.
Now, over 50 years on from it’s first publication, the makers of ‘Ice Age’ along with the voices of comedy talents Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell have brought to life that Dr. Seuss classic ‘Horton Hears a Who’.
For the first time, a motion picture transports audiences into Dr. Seuss’ incredible imagination, through state-of-the-art CG animation, abiding by the wishes of Seuss’ widow Audrey Geisel and delivering an incredible visual experience.
The film, like Seuss’ book, presents an imaginative elephant named Horton (Carrey) who hears a faint cry for help coming from a tiny speck of dust floating through the air. Although Horton doesn’t know it yet, that speck houses an entire city named Who-ville, inhabited by the microscopic Whos, led by the Mayor (Carell). Despite being ridiculed and threatened by his neighbors, who think he has lost his mind, Horton is determined to save the particle…because “a person’s a person, no matter how small.”
‘Horton Hears a Who’ comes together through the vision of a master storyteller, the magic of computer animation, and the special alchemy of three generations of comedy stars – Carrey and Carell are joined by the legendary Carol Burnett, as well as cutting-edge talents Will Arnett, Isla Fisher, Amy Poehler , Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill – to create an all-audience comedy event.
To celebrate the Friday March 14 theatrical release of ‘Horton Hears a Who’, BritFilms TV in conjunction with 20th Century Fox has got an absolute truck load of promotional loot to giveaway that comes in the shape of five special ‘Horton Hears a Who’ goodie bags.
Each goodie bag will contain a pair of cards, Kazoo, a ‘Grow a Who’, Carabiner phone sock, cap, bed socks, adult t-shirt, listening device, shoulder bag, noise maker, iPod speakers and phewww!, wait for it…a bath robe. Now there’s no denying, that’s one serious pile of ‘Horton Hears a Who’ bounty!
