Wood burners/ Multi fuel burners?

Im probably in the wrong place but i had an open fire in lounge and after a

kitchen fire i had i now had fitted a multi fuel burner, it has 2 big glass doors

but i carnt get them totally clean although i wipe them everyday does

anyone have any idea wot to cleam them with???

Wood ash (from the fire), mixed with water. I put it on a sponge and use that on my woodburner and it comes up a treat. Having said that, if you're burning efficiently, with the right (dry, seasoned) wood, then you shouldn't have to clean it that often. I do it around once every two weeks or so: mine's a "cleanburn" wood stove.

We have a double door Stovax multifuel, although it is supposed to be a 'clean glass' it does get pretty dirty if we leave it half shut down at night, it will clean its self a little if you burn logs really high for about 1/2 an hour but it still needs a clean up 3 times a week. I use a non scratch washing up pad with a spot of cif to clean it then just wipe it off with a a couple of pieces of kitchen roll, it comes up a treat. The glass till looks perfect after a year of cleaning.

any stove will get dirty glass if closed down as you are starving the stove of air.

If you open the fire up full blast it should clear most of it but apart from that the best glass cleaner is Stovax GEL glass cleaner

Im keepin the fire on low most of the time somone did say to turn it up that would help. Thank u all x

I'd agree with that: you can almost see the mist clearing on the glass when it's burning at a high temperature.

Astonish cleans the glass we use it almost everyday on our burner

i tried it last nite on high and yes it works but ive got some black that is like dried on on the bottom of one of the glass which i cant understand cos i wiped it everyday when i cleaned it out but hub didnt !! lol so its his fault, ive tried and tried to get that off, but thank everyone your help has been valued !!
