anybody replaced a waterbed mattress with a normal mattress?

Help our waterbed has leaked for the last time we are sick of it now and want to replace it with a normal mattress.
Has anybody done this as I wondered if we can just replace the waterbed mattress with a normal one or is it a case of getting a new bed?

How come it has leaked?
I have had mine now for about five years and wouldn't part with it for anything.
They are the best beds in the world and much better for your back than an ordinary mattress.
However, I cannot see any problem for you replacing the water bag with an ordinary mattress....but it would very much depend on the style of your bed.When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!0
