Do you think he will?
It could do if you are associated on your credit reports, have you had a look?Kavanne

IIRC you're not associated unless you have a joint debt.If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything0

If he defaulted you would only be affected if you were linked with him financially ie joint bank account, joint mortgage etc.
It used to be the case that the address was blacklisted, but fortunately that isn't the case anymore.
Best thing to do is to teach him the pitfalls of late payments etc, and not to get into that mess in the first place. He sounds like a sensible chap tho0 -

thank for that
Any advice or thoughts I give on matters involving debt and recovery processes should be considered as nothing more than the opinion of someone who used to be a bailiff a long time ago.RobertoMoir View Public Profile Send a private message to RobertoMoir Find More Posts by RobertoMoir Find all thanked posts by RobertoMoir

Don't worry. I got a Barclaycard with £100 credit limit just a week after my 18th birthday. That was a long time ago!
It seemed pretty normal in those days especially among students.0
