This is what I posted on another thread, and thanks to clare21 :T directed me to this thread.

I saved the tokens from the Sun newspaper the other month, offering two free tickets to Alton Towers.
It gave you a selection of dates, ie, first choice, second choice etc, it also should you the dates of the month, for example, may 2nd to may 24th, so I naturally assumed that it would cover those 3 weeks.

So I put in my first choice, but ended up with fourth choice, and to make matters worse you can only go on the date that is shown on the ticket, so we ended up with 19/6/08, that is the only day we can go and use these tickets.

I feel this was a con in a way, dont get me wrong 2 free tickets is great, but it was very misleading regarding the dates.

After reading some of the swap posts, I too would like to swap these tickets, the 19th june is a thursday, which is no good.
Infact I saved them for my daughter and her husband, for them to perhaps stay overnight and have a day out, and I look after the kids,(they are too little to go) just to give them a break, as they both work, so a thursday is out.

I would if possible prefere a saturday, excluding the weekends of 10th/17th may, and 26th july.

I have tickets for 18/06/08 we cant go on this day as its mid week no good for school and have to travel a long way. If anyone want to change to any sat/sun (prefure May, sept, Oct)or any month, PM me!

hello!! i was wondering if anybody could help me.
i have been given some leisure vouchers which are like high street vouchers but for theme parks and was hoping to go to alton towers with them.

i rang alton towers up but they did not know what the vouchers where (on the back of the voucher it clearly states alton towers)

does anybody know if you just go and buy the ticket with the voucher on the door or do i need to redeem them??

also if i have a 2 4 1 ticket can i use the leisure vouchers as well??

I've used the leisure vouchers in the past on the door, just like cash, and have some i'm going to use in May - can't see a problem.
