    Try cruising the local skips - I always see coloured suites in them.

    They will regret it, in 10 years time they will be back in fashion, (when some interior designer guru say white is cold, dull and clinical) will be extremely hard to find, and therefore will be very expensive:D

    i use the term reclamation yard loosley! its more like a junk yard but we found our cistern and we found an exact replica of a marble panel that we needed for our fireplace, so quite a good little place.

    Give http://www.smithsbathrooms.co.uk/ a ring, they supply bathrooms to the trade showrooms.
    I managed to get a Lemon/ primrose double trap syphomic wc pan off them, for £175, i was quoted £300- £520 from other place's.

    I am going to be replacing my champagne/beige coloured toilet in the next few weeks. You can have it if you want it.

    I'm in scotland though,

    Thanks for the offer, but it's a bit far and probably too awkward to post.

    Got in a bit of an altercation with OH in Homebase this evening when I offered to compromise by replacing the toilet AND sink with a white one but leaving the bath. She wouldn't have it, though.

    Thanks for that, Ive written it down in case it gets removed. I've just read another thread on repairing a cracked cistern with silicone aquarium sealant so I'm going to give that a go first.

    Old thread I know, but ...

    ... bathroom furniture by its very nature lasts and lasts until either:

    1 ) home "improvements";
    2 ) an accident.

    The latter is usually covered by your insurance.
