Hi, my Philips Mistral steam iron has just packed up on me. I can't complain as I've had it quite a few years and it's been dropped on the floor a few times So now I need to get a new one, which is the best iron deal out there?
Thanks
Thanks

I would definitely say go for a steam generator type. It will reduce the amount of time you spend ironing and they are so easy to use.0

ive got the steam gen too. NEG side takes 2 mins or so for steam to kick in. POS it makes iron a hell of a lot easier!0

If you don't want a steam generator, my mum, daughter and I can highly recommed the Tefal ordinary steam irons. Best are the ones with a high steam output and anti-drip feature.0

I have a Philips normal iron, simialr to this:

It's excellent, I only have to do one side of jeans and they're crease free.
I must admit to not being a huge fan of Tefal irons, everyone I've had has had a poorly performing soleplate and has leaked.
Check out the 'Which' reports, yu can sign up for a £1 trial for a month. Also, you can look on Amazon and read the reviews.

Nothing wrong with the 1800 watt Onn own brand from Asda. I had mine delivered with my groceries a couple of months ago, cost £9.90 but appears unavailable on the webiste today. It has great boost of steam for jeans & upright steaming, if you wish to steam your curtains in situ lol. Save money AND minimise ones ego all in a purchase:)0

My Moulinex Optimate Cordless Duo is nearing retirement and I do not want to have to buy an iron with a cord but can't seem to find any like mine available. Anyone got any ideas for me please? Many thanks0
