Hoping someone can help answer a simple question for me.
I am currently paying in to HTB ISA and have been doing for around 2 years and will continue for another 12 months
Additionally I'd like to open a wealth simple ISA which is an investment ISA.
my question is this: Can I pay into both ISA's in the same tax year? I.e. continue saving for a house with HTB and add small amounts that I can afford in to the investment ISA?

Yes you can contribute to a HTB ISA (which is a type of Cash ISA) and a S&S ISA in the same tax year. The maximum you can put in across all accounts is £20k.
Although you may wish to consider transfering from a HTB ISA to a Skipton LISA so that you can contribute more and earn a bigger 25% bonus.0 -

Claire from Wealthsimple here. I wanted to let you know that as Alexland mentioned, you can contribute to multiple ISA accounts as long as you don't go over the £20,000 annual ISA contribution amount for the 2017 tax year.
