Well as it's 3 years ago, read the Newbies thread especially for DRP (Debt recovery plus)

The problem is the manager gave you wrong info . However DRP are just simple debt collectors with no power. Who was the PPC

    Some interesting reading for you

    AKA Notso-Smart Parking.

Read the NEWBIES thread and pay particular attention to post 4 as this tells you why it is safe to ignore debt collectors.

Please also read this and sign the petition. Please make all your friends and family aware that ignoring private parking tickets is not a good idea, and encourage them to sign the petition as well.

understand that a PPC and a debt company are different

re reading the newbies thread may help ....... it can / does take a bit to sink in ;)

and yes they have all started a trawl though old case to try and mop up some ££££ by putting the frighteners on

so just to clarify for the OP

do not ignore a PPC like not so smart, so if they write to you do not ignore it, as not so smart are a PPC

DRP are not a PPC , they are a toothless debt colelctor who you need to IGNORE, who are "trying it on" by sending out thousands of these letters to try to firghten people into paying

so fruitcake was correct in saying IGNORE DRP

smart have 6 years to try a court case, so expect more debt collector letters for the next 3 years

Amazed you say you looked but 'couldn't find anything' yet haven't read the sticky threads? Where did you look then?!

Did you try searching the forum for obvious keywords like 'Debt Recovery Plus landmark'? Or 'Smart Debt Recovery'?

Always read the sticky threads on a forum, at the top, first. They are always maintained to be the most up to date general advice notices on any forum. That's where you start.

The NEWBIES thread post #4 is up to date - it clearly tells everyone to ignore debt collectors.

of the same sticky thread is kept up to date as well - you should have appealed and would have won at POPLA. Too late, you appear to have missed that advice.

This is only Smart Parking - just ignore them and complain to the retailer who can cancel these. But the sticky thread tells you that already.

I don't know where you are, but if you are in Scotland you should also have read the advice about Scotland in post #1 of the NEWBIES thread which tells people not to appeal at all.

This advice was all here for you at the time of the PCN and would have assisted you with a POPLA appeal win - if you are in England/Wales - and is here now and will still be here as you ignore each silly letter. No updates please, no more letters need discussing unless you get a court claim, which is unheard of for Smart.

Please do those suggested seaches now and read the sticky thread.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
