(Maybe this is a risky one!)

M Reduced Sugar Fine Cut Orange Marmalade 415g
    £1.15 with 100 "More" points = 10p:( = £1.05:eek:

Should compare vs T's Fine Cut Reduced Sugar Orange Marmalade 340g as within the 20% weight range (starts at 332g)
    59p in T, weight adjustment = 72.0147...p (call it 72p possibly)
= 43 match points (we hope, hope, hope).

Equivalent to about 62p. If you treat points as cash (which, arguably, you should not). Just a shade over T's 340g price.

T is best price per unit on this product. A's price (on 340g) is even dearer than M's price per unit. Mvs T would work out, oh so slightly better than Avs T (about 6p in 10%), but only if everything went to plan - and you are buying more in M (415g instead of 340g) so depends on how much you need.

Also, of course, needs to be in that basket on which you are spending £15:eek: or more and comparing vs T!

Those - this is off to a completely separate topic btw - 300g Ye Olde Oak Hams that often go down to £1;) - and work out, with 10% in A, better per g. than the T Eday Value 200g tins. That seems to be in theory, as my member of the family that has most of these seems to use a full tin:eek: each time. It's not actually cheaper - they're using 300g instead of 200g each time. Buy bigger tins and it just gets you eating more and not actually saving the money! Possibly.

    Was I right :D

No, it's the second one. No points is better as not loaning anything to them, in any event it's outright cheaper (even if you throw half of the packet away). Although - I wouldn't even bother with M on the second one anyway, but do Avs M's mbuy.

    If only this item compared:

Morrisons Kitchen Chinese Takeaway Crispy Sweet & Sour Chicken (400g)

    Store_8.15px.png £3.25
    81.3p / 100g
    Store_2.15px.png £2.00

Weight adjust to compare to £1.77777... for A.
    500 "More" points (50p).

However, the M product is Battered with Tangy Sweet & Sour Sauce.
A's product is in Tangy Sauce with Pineapple Chunks and Sweet Red Peppers.

It's come under (my!) 'suspicion', as being an item in M with 'extra points' and with potential to compare vs A. Msm has them linked up. However, I think probably not. I'll mention it here though in case it's useful.

There is some other Chicken in Sweet & Sour Sauce 400g in Aldi at 69p (see msm). In that context, perhaps, making the M product even with 50p points, and even if it compared vs A's price, seem really expensive.
