Hi all,
Hope everyone is well. My list for today:
Check banks
Check refund has been added to Next account - yes, finally. Awaiting statement to pay off and close account as too tempting!
Mr T's online shopping for delivery tomorrow.
Re-register with TVLicensing - we get at least one letter a year as we don't watch tv (only iPlayer etc) and they seem to never believe it!
Meal plans around offers etc at Mr Ts!
On that note, I have managed to get weekly shop to £40, not great but has been £100 before! Anyone any suggestions on cheap meals and snacks (for 2 adults)?
S xI have enough money for the rest of my life... as long as I never have to pay for anything again!

My OH likes boiled sweetcorn and butter as a snack.
As for me I like a packet of 14p Tesco noodles with soy sauce and a half handful of leftovers from the fridge as a snack. eg chopped tomato, meat, peas, spring onions/scallions.
I recommend the A Girl Called Jack Website for cheap recipes. "Jack started writing her blog, A Girl Called Jack, in February 2012, in response to a local councillor who claimed that ‘druggies, drunks and single mums are ruining the High Street.’ What started as a local politics blog developed into budget food and recipes, which were picked up with interest by the national press as she detailed living with her son on a food budget of just £10 a week." What a knobhead local councillor. And sorry to drag this thread up but actually found that same blog through the obnoxious Richard Littlejohn of Daily Fail fame. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-2482111/RICHARD-LITTLEJOHN-Ah-Pesto-Meet-poverty-poster-girls.html
P.S. Butter and sweetcorn with any herbs/spices like paprika and any leftovers like cheese, heated through in the microwave is a delicious snack!
Banana on toast is my cheap snack delight

Check out the Grocery Challenge on the Old Style Board. There are loads of cheap recipes at the beginning of the thread - July is currently running and August will be starting shortly.
There are also a couple of threads running with contain cheap recipes.
There are a quite a few blogs for cheap recipes including "thrifty leslely"; "frugal queen" - just google and you'll find them.
