... I should say in my defence it is your fault I even discovered DTD on overcharges in Ts. Until you were all discussing it (and not in the context of the big DTD targeted shops the other year, also thanks to you :)) I didn't know about it. I KNOW! Where had I been? Missing out, that's where :o.

I still have A LOT of catching up to do, so thank you for the continued pointers

Evenin' all. Just caught up. You lot like a natter don't ya?

I've got a few more wombles to check from tonight's shopping adventures. I'll check and post results tomorrow. Also used my first ever wombled APG to get a few things for a grand total of 92p :)

I can see how this can be addictive.

We hit the food bank earlier with our supplies. The woman there was so pleased to see the Pringles I won. She said 'the kids will be happy, they don't often get treats like this to have after school'

    I could have cried.

Definitely going to make this a regular thing. Good for the soul. Nighty night!

I wouldnt seek DTD on a full price product unless there was a half price sel

They could just say the half price stock is leftover from a promotion

Well there was one in front of the shelf where I got mine and they still denied it. Will look again tommorow. Interestingly the CS lady in the 2nd store said the £4.99 yellow sel was what she called a generic one as it referred to a product that's price was per kilo and not per item. So if they use the excuse of the wrong barcode that's why. Not feeling brilliant this week as a lot on my mind so may just fire off a letter to head office instead. Don't think I can face querying it in store again. They have so many trouts in our store you would think they had a river running through it!!!

Not sure how to put this on my Avs M list - will probably be too complicated there.
Clairol Nice N Easys are showing £5.00 on MSM.co.uk (no multibuy) showing but are also 3 for £10 on a.com. That offer includes some Aussies and Head and Shoulders and others.

I have the following Clairol Nice N Easy Non-Permanents as being 'any 2 for £8' in M (which is cheaper per pack than S at £4.66):

    Ash Blonde 73
    Light Ash Blonde 75
    Lasting Brown Medium
    Light Brown
    Medium Brown
    Dark Brown
    Dark Warm Brown
    Little Warm Brown
    Dark Blonde.

Some of these might not be avail. in A. It seems buy 6 A vs M, would hopefully compare £5x 6= £30 (although you pay 2x £10) vs M at 3x £8= 24. Is £8.40 onto the APG (watch for the £15 though!!)

Multis are off on MSM on lots of products at the moment (may be fixed later this morning).

Head & Shoulders also on a buy 2 for ?? offer in M (2 for £4 perhaps? - sorry, didn't take the details of every item - too much shampoo after several previous glitches myself).

Don't forget triggers may also exist in the 3 for £10 offer, then hopefully 2 comparing vs competitor's multibuy of buy 2 for... (if they've picked both of them up on the APG:(). Aussies are £4 each in M, so may be better options (such as vs W for instance, not sure if T's 3 for 2 will be picked up - but perhaps it stands a better chance of doing so if it's a glitchy day!)

Don't forget the Butch. Selection bacon 10per pack, 300g are best Avs M (in 2s) if it's m'buy glitch day.

    Just catching up...

    Belated happy birthday to nannylala
    Congratulations to TS and family
Thanks for the recipe mimi looks yum
And a quick question for savvyb... Based on price per kilo in a MSE way, would you say local green grocer type shops are better value for money than supermarkets? Just curious as I always seem to spend less in there than on equivalents in the main shops but don't have time to take down prices for carrots, potatoes, onions etc. and yet I can come out with a trolley full of veg for less than a tenner whilst supermarkets I can get a bag of carrots (£1), potatoes (£2) etc (rough figures obviously)

Sorry if that adds another dimension to your price collecting Savvy :-/
