Same here but as I said no joy last week. The SEL was missing in my T so the price checkers must have removed the yellow £3 SEL that was there yesterday by not replaced it with the £8 one...unless someone else has had a dtd in there today with the £3 still in place.
Look out for the £3 SELS with what is left of today:)
I saw these yesterday for £8   but I knew they were £3 last week  so I scanned them and they were £8 again. They wouldn t give me Dtd as the sign saying £3 had disappeared shame lol. Not all was lost though as I bought 2 so only needed to spend £24 to make it £40 so I could use my £5 voucher and got a refund on the chocs0 -
Hi there - I suppose I should have put a 'spoiler alert' at the top there - as you now know the result of my shopping. (Doh!!)
Back from Sains. (I did go in the end). I ended up "going freestyle" with my shopping, and in a circumstance where I hadn't envisaged doing so!
But... useless MSM:rotfl::rotfl:- I was in-store in Sains. doing my planned list,... and then I walked past some Bernard Matthews Turkey Escalopes (Lemon & Pepper version). £2.20 or 'any 3 for £5.00'. Well, I'd like some of those I thought!:):) Particularly as I think they are 2 for 1 £2.00 at T (the store that I was comparing to). Not totally 100% sure they are the exact same kind at T - but I'll risk it and give it a go I thought.
They are showing on MSM, in and out, for me as exclusive to T - 2 for 1 £2.00. They're 260g, so two of those for £2 works out a better option than the BM Escalopes I have on my list for Tvs M.
And quite good it seems too!! You're now invited to search for "Turkey Escalopes" on MSM in each of the five stores and see which is cheapest price per unit!;) It's the 260g Lemon & Pepper BM ones, on the 2 for 1 in T.:) That's if we can trust MSM.:rotfl:(And I hadn't done all this check myself before I went shopping today, because I didn't think I was going to be getting them!)
Well, I had taken no calculator to Sains. Just running out of time and thought I'd give it a dash and get the items I'd planned. Of course, I was now adding and subtracting in my head, trying to work out what the total bill was and the difference amount.
In the end the shopping I took through the till gave a £9.10 coupon. So I'm rather pleased at that! Would have been better still if I'd have had the Bernard Matthews escalopes on MSM and worked it out properly. Always very risky 'going freestyle' in store - I wouldn't advise it folks!
I rather liked buying one fewer than the S 3 for £5.00:eek: offer - and brand matching them to a price they'd probably never go. Also missed all of the other Sains. offers too!
With the additional £4.40 (Sains price x2) and the £2.40 towards the BM, I now had to work out a few items to not buy anymore, and still getting to £20, and not exceeding £20 by too much (S BM - it's simple!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)There I was trying to work out on non-round numbers. I made a guesstimate of course.;) And not wanting to exceed the £10 at all.
And at least the shopping I actually did meant I didn't have to buy the same items again that often go on offer and I've bought before and have enough of. So at least I could put back the McVities Cheddars 12pk. In that sense - since it is v. useful (and more useful) items that will now keep us going properly - such as the turkey escalopes - very nice, lemon and pepper - it's a better shop than the one I had planned.
Below is the list of what was on my original shopping, to help anyone planning an Svs T, and I've added the BM Lemon & Pepper Turkey Escalopes. (The full list below now will of course exceed the £10 and be well over £20, so select from it/add your other items that you have S vs T.) I used the usual stalwart - a bottle of Basics Handwash - to tip me a few pence over the £20 spend (part paid for by last time's £9.99 brnd mtch).
S vs T (or, we hope, T vs A all N/A)
I Can't Believe It's Not Butter (Original or Light) 500g £1.80 85p
Emmi Cafe Latte Cappuccino (230ml) £1.29 60p
Nestle Tip Top Dessert Topping 160g 54p 54p (didn't need in the end - why bother?)
Nestle Milky Bar/Rolo/Qual Street Dessert 2x70g £1.09 55p (on 2 for 1 in S, so only buy total of one) (this went back to the shelf, and not as good as Avs M (not N. Ireland sorry) on 4 pack: M £1.00)
McVities Mini Cheddars - Original 12 £2.99 £1.49 (never as good as Avs someone else when (now expired) the someone else is at 94p on the 7pk)
Mentos Fruits 4pack £1.10 54p (also Mentos Mints are S vs T, but on 2 for 1 in S so don't buy both - unless you are near the £20 spend and trying to keep within the £10 BM value, but then buying 2 for 1 otherwise doesn't bump you up to the £20 needed very quickly, and nor does it help you get more back)
Rustler's Microwave Quarter Pounder 190g £2.00 £1.00 (any 2 for £3.00 in Sains, so only buy 1)
2x Del Monte Pear Halves in Syrup (420g) £1.00x2 Any 2 for £1.50
2x Bernard Matthews Lemon & Pepper Turkey Escalopes (260g) £2.20x2 £2.00 bogof
Fanta Mango & Passionfruit (6x330ml) £3.49 £1.74 (also Fanta Orange same size, or Fanta Fruit Twist same size)
Nestle Fab Strawberry Lollies (8x58ml) £2.49 £1.24
Note: some of the offers above re. T may be very short-lived or due to expire soon (check t.com/MSM).
With the Nestle lollies, my store's shelf was something like this:
Nestle Fab.......... Nestle Fab...... Nestle Fab
something else .. Strawberry .....Apple/Blackcu.
HALF PRICE!!..........£2.49 ...... HALF PRICE!!
....£1.24 ...................................... £1.24
Yes, I went for the one in the middle of those half price offers!
The list above isn't all that could be avail. S vs T (and I doubt my lists ever are absolutely everything you could get - besides some items even if T is cheaper might well be not advised to buy as may be better options elsewhere), the list is what I had planned on my shopping this afternoon (plus the Lemon & Pepper escalopes). Quite pleased about the £9.10 - but I will check in the morning to see there isn't another 90p somewhere missing!:D0 -

Now there is an idea I think I still have some of those egg and spoon sets from last year hanging around.
I am thinking Sainsbury's might be the best place for nice cakes. I only ever normally buy whoopsied ones. I looked online at M & S but looks like I am too late to do online order and my local did not have much in, guess I need one of those that just does groceries.
Morries cakes are very nice according to my D/M 90 much better quality than Ts or As ,whoopsied her a few this week, not bad selection ,have to admit lots of jam in the doughnuts ,and good texture.0 -
"Thats is so ILLOGICAL"
Who is getting excited about the new startreak film:D
Who, me?The annoying thing is there is no way I can get myself to pay for a ticket, spent so long not having to pay for cinema tickets
I may have to wait for the DVD
Especially as no-one will go with me. Still, got my free T Shirt this morning
Can you imagine not managing to do anything for 6 weeks, the splash back of my cooker took ages to clean off on friday, I don't think anyone touched it the whole time I was away.
OMG, that must have been awful! I still haven't fully got the house back into shape from that couple of weeks I had "off sick" a couple of weeks ago, no-one did any vacuuming, dusting, no floors were cleaned, the hob still hasn't come clean and the bathroom was awful! Good luck getting everything clean!Imdebtfree wrote: »Morning all just painted New garden shed and fence green. It's definitely ok to only paint the bits I can see isn't it. Glad u all agree :j
Off to see my 2yr old niece who's visiting my mum from up north. haven't seen her since Christmas and she's grown up so much. Proper little girl now.
Tesco or sada later as out of tea bags.
How can you paint bits you can't seeBesides which, it looks fine from here.
I have a confession to make. I am on my last lot of washing powder!!!!. Any suggestions anyone.
Also spent all morning trying to get my printer to print wirelessly. Aagh!!!
That would seriously scare me - currently have two 50 wash boxes holding down the bottom of a drawer trying to get it back into shape.Anyone won a Bakers golden dogbowl ?
I have been trying since competition opened and won nada.
Where is the competition please? What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

I think my T must be out of sync with others on prices sometimes. I remember the Thorntons Snowmen frustratingly scanning at 79p for a week after everyone else was getting them for 1pAwaiting a new sig0
