City Financial Loan Brokers....SCAM or NOT ?

sad to say my wife has been scamed by this company,she was after a loan and payed £98 , then smelt a rat .but to late, they had cashed in the payment with-in ten minutes.
my wife has been in touch with her bank and with the police ,she has a crime number ,and she had to cancel her bank cards,but this morning they are back on to the phone to her for another £183 , :mad: . they were told , in a polite manner that they were not going to get another penny,and that they should go forth and multiply.
but she has never been in touch with this company before, but they had her sort code and account number, they had all her details :shocked:

I got text from City financial though I don't recall applying for a loan with them. Said approved for £1500 loan and to ring them quoting ref 'DRY'. When I rang them they sounded like a bona fide company but they approved me for a £1000 loan - my credit is very bad and I would never qualify for a loan of that amount, they said on payment of a £75 'processing fee' the funds would be released. This sounds like Advanced Fee Fraud, I have in the past had a loan for £15000 (from Northern Rock) and they never charged any fees for the loan! Why do City Financial need £75 for a mere £1000 loan?
Never forget, when looking for a loan, genuine lenders make their money from your repayments, NOT upfront fees.

On the 3/12/2012 City Financial contacted me and stated that I could have a lone,great I thought as I am a disabled single mum of two.
So listening very carefully to what CF had to say,I came to the conclusion that they where a very reputable company. OMG !!! what an idiot I am !
I was told I needed to send in the T&C and that 3-5 working days a lender would be in contact with me to finalise my loan and to just give details of when I would like the monthly payments would be taken from my account. I was given all the apr details and the loan repayment amount.
No problem there.
I also asked when they would take their fee £75,they told me that they would not take it until I had received my loan. Ok ?
No loan no fee !
So happy with everything they had said I returned the T&C last week.
Yesterday was my last day of the 3-5 working days,Though in that time i had received over 100 texts and calls from asian people asking for more money and offering me loans,all of which I said no to,I contacted CF many many times reporting these nuisance calls and texts and they where ever so helpful,telling me I had done the right thing and to say no to them and that those companies where scammers !! I can not believe my own stupidity for not realising that CF are the SCAMMERS !
So after my 5th day I still had not received THAT call from the (imaginary) lender.
102 times it took me to get through to them on the phone ! Then stupid me realised that YEAH this is a CON !
I was told the lender will call tomorrow before 6pm,that I still had been 100% approved for the loan,that i should not worry.

So after that today I did the digging and realised that I am not the only one who has been taken in by this company.
So having read all the posts i started my call marathon to them,wow it was quick this time it only took 39 attempts for them to pick the phone up.
I explained everything to them ,that they where not even in a proper office and that their building had a for let sign and red shutters also that they where conning me and thousands of others.
The lady (con artist) on the phone said we don't have red shutters anymore :O ! omg! and that it was fine ? Fine I asked ? yes it was fine that their building/office was for let.I asked to speak to a manager,No manager there,I told them I wanted a refund,No you can not have one as you signed the T&Cs. So I explained that they had taken the fee the very first day and that they had told me it would not be taken until I had my loan. She then said that she would contact the lender and hurry them up and that they would contact me today before 6pm. I told her that there was not even a lender and that there was no loan and that she was making me blind because she has had my eyes out!
No we are a company,No we are not conning you,No you can not have a refund.
That was until I pointed out that their T&Cs stated that I had 14 days to cancel the agreement (conned contract) and to receive a full refund. She put me on hold then came back to me and said that I had to put it in righting.
I did try to reach out to her human side,crying ,upset and disabled and now £75 out of pocket,though the nice lady(con artist witch)was having none of it,she just kept repeating that the lender would contact me,she asked if there was anything else she could help me with ? I said yes please give me my money back,she hung up!!
This company has been doing this for years now,all the post's just on this site prove that,but still these people are continuing to scam and con
people who are in financial difficulty.
What can I do ?
Nothing as everyone before me have already tried.
I very much doubt I will receive my money back.

I was scammed to.
Though from reading all the posts just on this site ,these con artists have been doing this for years! and still continue to do so.
I would be more than happy to accompany you with friends of my own and visit these low life's.
