Orange - late payments showing on credit report

(as usual, sorry if this is on the wrong section...)
My credit report seems to be fairly neat and tidy, with all unused accounts settled and closed. All good
The only thing that seems to be 'wrong' is a late payment on my Orange mobile account. Equifax is showing payment late Nov-Dec 2008 and Jan-Feb 2009. Considering my account has always been set up as a direct debit payment, plus the bills were the same average amount, I don't really understand this...
Anyway, I tried to contact Orange and explain this. The guy gave me an email address (great - a machine rather than humanoid
) which I've sent off to, but got a delivery failure. Checked the Orange website and tried their general customer services email address - again a delivery failure!
Any ideas how I can contact them to query this?
Thanks for your help

Found an Orange company representative in the contacts list, but no way of getting directly in contact with them (yes I know, they haven't had any activity for a while)
Any suggestions?Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Still no joy in contacting Orange
I've tried filling in their online contact form and still getting a 'Whoops, due to issues beyond our control we are currently unable to handle your email query' email

Is there a way you could call their helpline again (I realise this is expensive) and ask to be put through to their collections department, maybe get to speak to a manager. you could also let them know that their email addresses are faulty.
Been here for a long time and don't often post

Yeah, I think that's gonna be what I'll have to do.
At the minute I've no intention of taking out a mortgage or anything, plus I've just opened a First Direct current account no problem, but I figure it'll do no harm to get my credit report tidied up a bitWealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Finally!!
Rang Orange again and eventually was given another email address - creditinfoquery@everythingeverywhere.com This one sent ok coz I've got an automated response back from CRTCorrespondance@everythingeverywhere.com.
Fingers crossed I get somewhere this time!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Quick response - they said it could take up to 7 days for a reply. And a very good answer too....!!Dear xxxx
Thank you for your e-mail to Orange.
We have reviewed and found that late payments were recorded due to the invoices generated on 10/10/2008 and 10/12/2008. These invoices were paid after their due dates.
On this occasion we have replaced the late payments by query flag as a gesture of goodwill. This is in recognition of your loyalty and past payment performance with us. Experian Ltd and Callcredit Ltd will display a “U” and Equifax Plc will display a “Q”. This simply indicates that we had no information to share with the credit reference agencies for that period. This will have no detrimental affect on your credit. This has been done with all credit reference agencies we share information with and all changes should be visible on your credit file within 24 hours.
Thank you and we hope this information is helpful.
Regards

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for this post!
I also have an orange account set up and two late payments showing on my equifax credit report.
I have previous defaults with other company's up until 2009, and this will sound idiotic i never thought to check the information against my statements.
Against checking against my bank statement i found that the direct debits had been paid on time with no problems, although i did notice my two "late Payments" were just after bank holiday weekends. May 2011 and September 2011 as my payments are normally between the 2nd of the month and 4th.
I Have used the e-mail address that you have provided and am hoping to get a response from Orange.
I will keep you updated about the outcome!1% challenge £2015.50 = £20.16
