A good card for spending, suggestions please

I have been closing down my credit card accounts once I've paid them off or transferred the balance from a peak of 8/10 cards to my current 2 cards. I did in 2011 apply for a Virgin and Tesco credit card but was unsuccessful, so I thought I'd ask you guys with experience and knowledge as to the best card/s to apply for, for spending and rewards. I wanted the Tesco card for the extra clubcard points.

At the time of my unsuccessful applications I didn't appeal the decisions and was just concerned with paying off the balances on my existing cards, I have been paying the minimum payment or more every month on my cards with a total payment of about £500 p/m I've not made any late payments for many years.

The two cards I have are a Barclaycard visa (zero balance) and an Mbna with an (existing customer) 0% transfer till May 2013 which I will have paid off by the end of the offer period.
