    However offer certainly doesn't seem to be limited to BG customers and includes a family swim.

    that is a good offer just a shame the nearest to me is almost an hour away by car or almost 2 hours by bus :(
    shame since there is a swimming pool down the road guess i will just have to grudge the £5odds admission

    In my local pool this is for a free swim lesson. Which I suppose is OK, I'm sure I could swim better, but I get the feeling that even the advanced level could be a bit basic for any competent swimmer:
    "Beginners
    Non swimmers, unable to swim 10m on front and back
    Improvers
    Able to swim 10m of front and back with basic technique
    Advanced
    Able to swim 25m+ on frontcrawl, backstroke and breaststroke with basic technique"

    I don't know what happens if you leave the lesson and just swim by yourself.
