Why not get on the ER first which was suggested in the other thread.0

Getting on the ER is something you could have done 2 years ago. 16 year olds can appear on it but with a marker by their names to say they can't yet vote.0

thanks for your replies, i just found out that i was already on the E roll today, when i phoned up the council, and said i was already on it, but that hasn't made any difference as i have been turned down. Which is strange, my credit rating is spanking clean. I haven't taken out a dime.0

Companies use your credit history to judge whether you are an acceptable risk to give credit to: do you have a history of paying back your credit responsibly and keeping a good handle on your money, or does your history show that you're terrible with money and can't pay back the money lent to you by previous creditors. If there is no history, they've nothing to judge you on, so some companies err on the side of caution and refuse your application.
Yea, i guess it might well be that. It's just a bit worry really. It's not as if i'm going to take out thousands of pounds of credit to my name. I was just looking for an option to build a credit rating and i thought a phone contract may just be the option.
It's frustrating that they don't give you chance even if there's no credit history to judge you on.0 -

Orange are one of the harsher credit scorers from what I have heard. Three and O2 are supposedly more lenient.0

Why not try a CrapOne Classic for building credit?0
