No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries in November Challenge

Think I had better stay out of the Secret Santa. At the moment my collection consists mostly of Lush and The Body Shop, if I get anything else I'll only become obsessed with that too and buy the entire range of whatever it is :rotfl:
Have used up a couple of things: Lush Grass Shower Gel (WBA if I ever want to smell like grass in the shower), Lush New Shampoo Bar (WNBA as it stripped the colour from my hair) and Schwarzkopf Yoghurt and Red Berry Conditioner (WBA as it was great value for £1).Sealed Pot Challenge Number 1225

One OUT yesterday - Palmer's Cocoa Butter. WBA as it's really moisturising, especially in the winter, smells nice and is good value for money. I'm quite glad I've finished that one though as it's been a splutterer for months! Now finishing up my Cath Kidston Rose Body Cream.
Plus, more importantly, it's taken me to hitting my target of having 10 OUTs a monthMy next goal is to get to 150 OUTs in a year of doing the challenge, so by the end of January 2012. I'm expecting to get a few bits for Christmas so I want a particularly big push to reduce my stash size next month and make way for a few things.

Hopefully, this might help some people to use up their items more quickly:
- clear lipsalve on cuticles and elbows
- face toiletries on body (moisturiser, wash-off cleanser, scrub)
- lipstick as cream blush
- cream blush as lipstick
- highlighter eyeshadow on cheeks, decolletage, legs
- clear mascara to slick back flyaways on hair and to tidy brows
- body wash/cleanser/shampoo to refill handwash
- perfume in air diffusers and as room spray (spray on lightbulbs when they are cool and as they warm up when they are switched on, it will fragrance the room - do not spray on when they are warm/hot as this might crack the bulb)
- hairspray to remove sticky labels and remove pen marks on clothes
- clear nailpolish to protect labels on products and backs of heels on shoes
I think for those of us who have a lot of makeup, it's also worth going through your stash to make sure if there's anything that might have gone off. Powder products will probably be okay and can keep for years but cream products don't keep that long. So if there's a change in consistency and it smells funky, it should probably be chucked.2011 December - No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries - UUs: 5 In: 5

Sarah*a a sample for fine hair it shall be, I was using the old AquaLight before they re-packaged it. I'll have to take the card sleeve off otherwise it will cost me extra to post but the sachets and MOC's are yours.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I've sent you a pm but haven't given you many details as I wasn't sure if you'd have enough volunteers now
I hope not as I'm a sucker for a freebie

Have one UU. It wasn't actually me it was my hubby who finished off the last of my shower gel. I wouldn't have minded so much but it was the shower gel I was using that goes with my current perfume, I had about a week's worth left and the reason he used it up was that he wanted to play with the pump bottle in the bath
I can see I'm going to have fun with "two" kids next yearDid owe £9,951.96
Now helping hubby pay off loan. Finally paid off :j

Wow, lynseedee, has he used up the last of your last shower gel? Or am I getting muddled and it wasn't actually you who had about 5000 shower gels a few months ago
?
Just about to get off my lazy bum and go and have a bath. Nobody's home and I overslept so am currently sitting here in my jammies having had a carrot, a pot of humous, a packet of breadsticks and a cup of coffee for tea. Nutritious!
My hands are incredibly dry at the moment so it's obvious that they really need some moisturiser on them. I have been shockingly bad at applying moisturiser recently. I blame the fact that I have tons of minis to UU, they're a real faff!
