You turn your back for a wee while and there is a new thread with 20 odd pages!
Tried to skim back but decided not to after glimpsing another offensive joke and not very friendly sounding comments.
We all used to get along so well. What's gone wrong? (Rhetorical question!)
I'm gonna hold back on the chat and selectively lurk til things settle down.
Hope to speak soon guys n gals :THappyChappy84 wrote: »Hi, which joke was offensive? If it's one of mine I'll go back and remove it.0 -
Thank you Baileys for your post explaining why users haven't been added/answered earlier on in the thread. I think that it's a good idea to not add people tbh whilst all the bickering is still ongoing.
I just hope this all dies down and you can come back to posting without the posts having to be about FB. At the end of the day all I didn't like about the whole thing was you saying for people to re-request membership and them then being ignored, but you have explained this now and I appreciate it.
And we can all say "you should've done this or that" but who knows what they would have done when in that situation and with so many people slating you.
I know I have carried on the FB talk but really now, can't we all let this go now and take anything else that we feel needs to be said to pm? I know I'm not a longstanding poster on this thread and prob don't have the "right" so to speak to veer this thread in a certain direction, but I loved reading people supporting each other, and sharing their stories, like Nikilala's quitting smoking and party planning, Czer(I've just spent ages trying to find your name and can't find it so I can spell it correctly so apologies!) search for a job, people supporting Celebrate, Happy Chappy's jokes (well most of them lol) and Karlie's non flashing images ... I could go on..
So what's done is done, it can't be changed now but we surely can move on from it, learn from the mistakes and get this back to how it was....0 -

Good morning all
Now that I'm in a better mood....
Firstly, apologies for my rather blunt post towards Amber last night.
Secondly, It's a shame a nice new thread has been ruined straight away with the FB/Locarr talk. I've pretty much remained quiet on both subjects, mainly because I couldn't give a fcuk. The Facebook group was set up with good intentions, I liked the idea of everything being easy to find on a phone but I think they got ahead of themselves and let too many people in too quickly and ended up with one or two rogue members. It's bad luck that T's got their hands on the list from FB. Please don't force Baileys6904 to reveal the identity of the rogue admin that was on a power trip and deleted everybody, what's it going to achieve? mass arguments and MSE closing the thread for the good, that's what! What has happened has happened, put it to bed now please, move on, let sleeping dogs lie and all that! I'd also like to think that those on FB would be made welcome on this thread without any animosity as, after all, some of them are probably the founding fathers of the Elite +. Lifes too !!!!!!! short, get on with it!
Thirdly, May I suggest that this http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=48281985&postcount=273 be put in to one of the reserved posts on the first page?
Lastly, I'm not sure how people would feel about this but if you are not going to upload pics of your bargains, DTD's etc and are just going to type them out may I suggest that rather than typing one huge paragraph that you break each bargain/DTD and details in to separate paragraphs as it would make it far easier for those with lots of pages to catch up on to skim through as one big paragraph with lots of bargains/DTD's in it is more difficult to read quickly. Also, maybe we could go one further by starting each paragraph with whatever the bargain/DTD is?
Something like this..
