Dell Power Supply

Hey, I need to buy a power supply for a Dell Dimension 5100. Model number H3O5P-00. The part number is HP-P3O67F3P.

I did do a cursory Google search, but a lot of the results came from America, and I hadn't really heard of any of the others.

I was just wondering if somebody could tell me where the cheapest place online would be to pick one up, and also reassure me that they are not terribly difficult to fit...

Thank you in advance!

Have you no local independant computer places.

I bought one from a local last year and it was 3 times cheaper than Currys.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
  • Oh, really? I had just assumed that it would be cheaper online, but I see that is something that I should look into. Cheers!

Old Dells used to use non-standard power supplies but I think yours would be able to use a standard ATX power supply. You may lose any cable clips attached to the Dell unit to help neatly route some of the internal cables. You should also check to see if the release button inside the case would cause a problem if the replacement had different dimensions.

I think you may need a replacement which has right-angled SATA connectors because the side of the case may not fit back on if the connectors stick too far out of the end of the hard drive(s). Check the lengths of the cables on the Dell one also as the hard drives are quite far from the power supply on that model.
