Congratulations to Paddingtondoo :j:jand Dragonllew:j:jWell done both of you xx

Thankyou for all your good wishes regarding my Mum, she has had her 2nd cataracht op today. We went to a different hospital for this one (Mexborough) what a shambles!!! They couldn't organise a party in a brewery:mad: After waiting 3 hours they nearly took her to theatre with the wrong slip, it belonged with the previous patient  Mum said the surgeon hurt her, she doesn't think they gave her enough anesthetic to numb her eye fully  then he cut and tore the skin on the outer corner of her eye and put a butterfly tape on it  She opted to go back to Doncaster for check ups. We got her safely home and she was going to bed, so I will ring in the morning to make sure she is ok. Im pretty sure she will be.

Rusty Well done to you for taking the big step of starting your CD. I'm sending you buckets of will power and will support you 100%. I just wish I could help you with the pain you are constantly in. Lots of hugs to you too xx

Thank again to all you lovely ladies for taking the time to reply.

I know it's not card making and I'm sorry to take the focus away from card talk - you're all really patient letting me sound off on here.

I was feeling rather down on Friday, but I owe it to the kids to keep going.

I couldn't even afford to pay £10 for a new pair of jeans for my son at the weekend - that's how bad things are here now.

Sally sound off here all you want, we all do it from time to time and everyones here to offer support and encouragement xx
Hi all, just popping in quickly to say hi and congrats to all of those who have won things, so many pages to catch up on but can't remember who did what, or said what etc!

Started Cambridge diet today, all I can say is I am hungry! :rotfl: still got a shake to go tonight! OH gets the extra meal though :( ... I have had the doctor out here today, last night I was in agony, so much so that it took me 30 mins to crawl up the stairs on my hands and knees, OH had to move my bag leg cause I was too scared of the pain! Doc came out and nothing they can do, I am already on too many painkillers and also the strongest dosages I can have! got to wait for a referral to have another needle in my spine so sorry if I ignore anyone or don't get on here, I have spent the day in bed, this is the first time I have come downstairs!

Sending hugs to anyone who needs them! x

Ditto to you Rusty, oh dear sounds like you are really having a rough time of it! Can't really offer any advise but I really hope the pain gets better for you soon xx

big hugs to you and your mum flourgirl, hope she's ok tomorrow. I sometimes wonder how hospital staff qualify these days the amount of mess-ups you hear about!

Skiergirl - sorry to hear about your parents - hope they both recover soon.

Sally - feel free to come on here and have a moan about anything - there's no need to apologise.

Rusty - sending you hugs - good luck with the diet - you've got more willpower than me -I can't even be bothered to start one! Hope the pain eases soon.

Flourgirl - what a rubbish hospital - best wishes to your Mum!

    Gemm - lovely acetate card!

Both my parents are unwell at the mo, so I think I'll be spending a lot of time on the M6 in the next few weeks, so if I'm not around much thats why

whoops skiergirl sorry just realised I think I must have lost my multi-quote earlier

sorry to hear your parents are both unwell, are you far from them? hope they feel better soon, sending big hugs xx
  • Hi everyone, just a quick pop in tonight.

Congratulations to Padster and Dragonllew on your wins
DTB – glad you are home now safely
Rusty – sorry to hear you are in so much pain, I hope you are feeling better soon. Also good luck with the diet.
    Sally – stay strong!
Rainmac – meant to say before today, love the little post it note holders and sets on your blog, thank you so much for putting the tutorials and suppliers on there I feel inspired to have a go.
    Dragonlew – beautiful wall hanging!
Louby – I know from past experience that sometimes these groups can get a bit clicky. I think what the others say is true. Stick with it, be brave and a little bit thick skinned, I am sure it will get easier.
Flourgirl – hope your mum recovers soon.

On another note, found this site earlier seems quite cheap for cuttlebug folders and bits and free postage as well. They also have these folders for pre-order.

    Evening all!
Hugs to all the poorlys and to those looking after poorlys - there seem to be a lot of you around at the moment :(
Extra big hugs to anyone dealing with s*1te (even the real stuff Thrifty :rotfl:)

Thank you Mr Marg (or should that be Homer:D) for picking me as the winner :T

Soooooooooo here's the new challenge..................... expect you're thinking it will be bears - well it could be as it's

I spy with my little eye 3 things beginning with "B"

Here's a few suggestions - bear (of course), blue, tree (has branches), boat, brad, bow (or ribbon), flowers (blooms or blossoms). Anything can count as long as you can convince me it begins with B

So if you have a brown bunny in a bubble bath on a blue background you have 5 (backing paper doesn't count unless it's a colour starting with blue or it has something beginning with b on it)

There will be a small prize for the winner plus an extra one for the person who can make a card with the most Bs on it

It'll run till Monday 10th and I'll pick the winners on the Tuesday
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

skiergirl - you're not having a great time of it lately :( Hope the folks feel better soon. Look after yourself as well tho! (((hugs)))
flourgirl - what a shambles! Poor mum, best wishes for a speedy recovery x
Rusty - what timing! When I'm feeling lousy and bed-bound, all I want to do is eat! *rolleyes* I hope the pain eases off soon. Can you do any sort of crafting in bed? You need to at least get yourself a laptop so that you have some contact with the outside world if you're stuck in bed x
    Welcome back thrifty :)
Louby - How mean that the other ladies wouldn't make an effort to include you more. You'd think new mums would be more compassionate as the ymust know what it's like to be stuck at home with a LO, you can't have your friends with you all the time. Stick at it, maybe I'm not giving them credit and they might turn out to be lovely x
Congrats dragonllew and rainmac :T :T

I don't know if it's because I managed my first full night's sleep with no nightmares, but I managed to make 4 cards today!!! And one of them used the distress inks and features wings - better late than never ;) Will blog them tomorrow when I can take a photo in decent light.
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it :)
