How to felt a shed roof

I am planning on refelting the roof of my shed, but haven't a clue how to go about it.
Do I buy a whole sheet of felt, lob it over the top and tack it in place, or do I buy sheets to fit each side of the roof, tack them in place and then tack a smaller piece over the top of the roof.
Also do I need to take off the old felt, or can I felt over the top of the existing felt.
The shed is hopefully only going to be in place for another year, I plan to put a place in a different position, and scrap the one currently here, but want to preserve my goods inside!

Buy a roll of felt. I assume it is an apex roof shed ^. Do the bottom parts then one piece across the apex. If the old felt is in fairly good condition you can felt over the top of it after giving it a good sweep to remove any lumps and making sure all nails are well in.
