Hi, long time lurker......... first time poster !!
I am getting fed up with Lloyds. A few years ago I could get straight through a real person on the phone now I have to go through an automated phone system that takes ages and then I am put on hold for seven to ten minutes. This seems to have happened when they moved their call centre from India - but I liked the Indian call centre workers they were great.
Also the endless security checks - I received an automated security check call this morning which took about five mins to complete. I understand the need for this but two hours later my card had to go through another ten mins of security when I paid for a ten pound meal. Why bother with the automated call???
In short can you recommend a bank which has good call centres, offers personal customer service and relies less on shoddy automated systems.
Thanks
Keith

They're not all the same.:D I've always found Smile CS to be excellent.
'Phone a U.K. call centre, key in account no., sort code and a your account PIN you're through, usually quickly to a knowledgeable, friendly and professional person.
That's my experience anyway.0 -

Barclays are ok (if you avoid their central call centre). I just phone my local branch. Phone answered in seconds and have yet to come up against something they can't help with - my loan issue notwithstanding.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j
Do something amazing. GIVE BLOOD.0 -
i think lloyds tsb call centre is very good, and i couldn't speak more highly of it.
their service is great, and everytime i have a problem the resolve the issue immediately. £1000 had been taken from account twice randomly which i had not authorised, and they refunded it immediately. When i tried to resolve this issue in branch, they were very unhelpful.
when i ring lloyds tsb i use the local number.0
