Biscuits

Options
Hello all, I have a pack of choc digestive biscuits that are not as crisp as they should be  so wondered if I could make something with them?
Thanks

  • Bash them into crumbs, then add anything that needs using up - nuts, sultanas, cherries, little marshmallows etc. Melt a bar of chocolate - milk or plain with a big spoonful of honey or syrup. Stir it all together and put onto a tray lined with baking parchment, then chill until set.

I find melting a mars bar means there's no need for adding honey / syrup. Adding sultanas to the mix makes a very tasty treat.

8 oz biscuit crumbs(put in poly bag and roll over with rolling pin)
    4 oz marg
    2 oz sugar
    1 tbl golden syrup
    1 tbl cocoa

Melt marg sugar syrup and cocoa gently in a large pan. Stir in the biscuit crumbs. Mix well. Put in greased shallow cake tin(swiss roll) approx 7.5 ins. Press down allow to cool.

Mrelt choc( microwave) and pour on top. When set and cooled, chill in frig. Mark ready to cut into bite-sized pieces. Nuts /sultanas/raisins can be added for a change.
