primus saver 2 or 1

The home phones article refers to both of these, but the primus site only seems to have reference to primus saver 2 and 3, with option 2 offering cashback from uswitch. 1 is the reference to option 1 a typo, 2 I can see no reference to the uswitch cashback on the uswitch site - has this stopped?

    There's some confusion with Primus packages because they appear to use very similar names for packages which are slightly different and also to partly 'hide' some (without clicking on the following link, try finding details of my personal favourite, Primus Saver Option 2 - note the exact name of the package).

    If you go via Uswitch, one of the options which comes up (it always depends on the data you enter so be creative until you get the result you want) is the Uswitch-exclusive Primus Talk 1 CPS package @ £1.49/month for free E&W UK 01/02 calls, a £5 quarterly rebate (it's not clear to me whether that's a £5/month rebate which is paid each quarter or whether it's a £5/quarter rebate paid each quarter), per second billing and a 1p minimum call charge for chargeable calls.

    I see that bbb_uk managed to find details of Primus Talk 2 as well and it appears that is also a Uswitch-exclusive package. The reference to the Primus Talk 1 package in that post spuriously shows a £2.49/month price though (it's really £1.49).

    You can go direct to the Uswitch site, better still go via the MSE Uswitch affiliate link or, to make yourself some cashback, go via one of the cashback sites.
    Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

    Primus Saver Option 2 has no monthly fee (click the above link) whereas the latter has a £1.49 monthly fee (but with rebates every quarter for the first year).

    Yes 1899/18185/18866 can be used, see Heinz,s most helpful post here:

    https://www.18185.co.uk is a cheaper overall provider then 1899.

    Enter whatever you like as usual but, when your see 'Edit your phone usage' in the 'Step 3: Your results' page, click on that;

    zero all minutes, then type 50 in ONLY the four local & national 'Evening minutes' & 'Weekend minutes' boxes.
