hi please could you advise me if any one knows if there is a cut off date to reclaim bank charges as someone told me it was the 23 of april thanks

The short answer is no. There is no cut off date for reclaiming charges. They may have been referring to the awaited OFT report on bank charges that was due in april but it has been postponed for further detailed investigation. There is a thread regarding this here:
