Great deal, but it looks like they've sold out!
Can't wait to get mine! Thanx
*******Looks like they've stuck another half dozen units on*******0 -
Careful with Aria. I think they only get them in when they are excess stock from Dell or something, and you only get a 1 year warranty with them, instead of Dell's 3 year warranty.
I bought a 19" Dell TFT from them and when I recieved it, it was clear that the monitor had previously been taken out of the box, because it was re-packaged very poorly. Then I found a finger print on the driver CD, and to top it all off, there was a cluster of NINE!!! dead pixels right in the centre of the screen. You're allowed something like 2-3 dead pixels on a 19" monitor, any more than that and it is considered faulty.
I had no problem in sending it back. But when I asked why I'd been sent a 'second hand' monitor when I had paid for new, they said that they deal a lot in refurbished monitors and it 'may have got mixed up'. That's rubbish imo because refurbished or not, a monitor is still faulty with that many dead pixels. They blatantly tried to rip me off by sending me someone's return.
And getting the refund took about 2- 3 months of emailing. Like a month for them to refund the monitor, another few weeks to get the original carriage refunded, and then another couple of weeks before I finally got the courier costs back for returning the heap.
Sorry for going off-topic, I didn't intend to go off on a rant.

As Mikeboy says,Aria sell Dell excess stock with one year warranty.I bought my 2005fpw direct from Dell (Obviously not at the original £550 price but it does have a full three year warranty
) and I can say the quality is absolutely fantastic on them. One thing to be aware of is that when I did my research on the web before purchasing, there were loads of issues with backlight leakage aka the barn door effect. This seems to have improved on the A01 revisions of the monitor!! (Dead pixels is also another issue with them and alright you can maybe expect that on all TFT's but these things can be worse than others!!)
Mine is fine actually and has no dead pixels....
Another useful thing is you can hook up either a PS2 or Xbox to the s-video connector and play your games console through the screen instead of using one of the vga boxes.
Here's a pic of mine to whet your appetite!!:D

Do not buy from Aria.co.uk !
Worst company ever.
Mine was refurbished too.0 -
I was one of the lucky ones (i think) that managed to grab one of these monitors this morning. I've purchased a few items from Aria in the past with no problems with the product or service.
At around the £350 mark it comes in £200 cheaper than direct from Dell (The Dell discount on this has now ended). I will repost here once I receive it, and report back on the quality.
NickA - I'm glad you are happy with your purchase, looks very cool. Can I suggest you try out the Longhorn sidebar. It seems to be ideal for widescreen displays. It's what's going to be in the next version of Windows. You can get it from here https://www.desktopsidebar.com0 -
Hello. I ordered one of these yesterday, but then realised that thay are refurbished (hence the 1 year warranty). I phoned them 3 minutes after I placed the order, and when I got through 20 minutes later, the guy claimed it had been dispatched from the warehouse. He was of course talking mince, and wouldn't allow me to cancel (their website doesn't have this option either). He wouldn't give me any phone numbers at all to check his claim, and said that I would have to pay the £12 delivery charge. He was also very rude and basically didn't care. DO NOT use this company. I thought Ebuyer were bad, but at least they do refund your money. I would of kept it if it was a new product, but Aria are basically conning people by claiming they are new products. Nobody in my work will use them now after witnessing yesterday's events. Aria only want your money, no customer service at all. Stick to buying moniors with 3 year swap out warranties, that's what i'm going to do.
P.S - how does the 1 year return to base warranty work? Do they expect you to pay postage?Titch0 -

Unfortunately, yes. That is what the RTB warranty means - you pay to return it to base (i.e. where you bought it from), they'll fix and then they pay to return it back to you.0 -
Report them to trading standards. Distance selling regulations come into play here, you are within your rights to cancel within seven days and as the item hadn't left the warehouse yet, they should have let you cancel.0
