Advice on rubbish at property before completion

Good afternoon: We completed on our house in July...vendor left two sheds full of rubbish. We called our solicitor immediately and he said he would contact vendor's solicitor. I took digital photos of all the c**p and we left it as is(diddly squat happened through our solicitor!)I sought advice on here then took a look online to see what we could do next. I sent letter by recorded delivery to the vendor...she responded by suggesting we were greedy and childish!!! I sent several digital photos of the rubbish to her and said I would be filing a claim in County Court if she did not have the rubbish removed...one week later we had a cheque for £100.00 (it didn't bounce) and had the rubbish cleared for £60.00 (lots left over for dinner)...the downside is we didn't have the situation rectified until October. Check out this link for advice on filing a claim online:

Good luck..vacant possession means not inheriting someone else's 'treasure' !Ask to see CIPHE (Chartered Institute of Plumbing & Heating Engineering)0 -
Personally I'd just do a few trips down to the tip with the remnants after putting anything of value on Ebay or Freecycle.Happy chappy0

Hyia all
I take your advice on board.
Its a very childish situation all together, their having a divorce and didnt even till their own solicitors they were moving out their seperate ways until the estate agent told them to....
Maybe i am jumping the gun, but the rubbish has been there a week and gradually increased...Solicitor says to complete and then he'll speak to their solicitor and say to remove rubbish "forethwith" but that isnt going to happen, their both childish people who wont do diddly squat.
I'm even wondering what if they dont give the keys over on completion!
Its been very stressful with no communication just feel like i could crack with having to do everything
Will hold my breath until tomorrow and see!0 -
Good luck. Moving is stressful enough without having to deal with this as well. See what happens tomorrow. xx0
