As I said elsewhere, chucky, it's for the same reason that there were never falls round ISTL's way, when prices were falling nationally.
It's a kind of price-related NIMBY attitude, I think.
I can't quite believe you had the balls to type that with a straight face.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

Yes, Dirk, I think you could probably say your graph is identical to the others since all these graphs have identical angles of descent!
They make a drop of 223.18 to 223.03 look really dramatic don't they?
Actually prices are falling a lot more than that "round my way"0 -

LOL, you are a funny guy, well you try to be
The "power of your arguement", that'll keep me chuckling all day.
P.S. If I'm a bull, how come my name is not on the OP's list?
P.P.S. If I'm a bull........ (Oh read this from two years ago, seems I was pretty spot on with the percentages)

I've regularly shown house prices 'round my way'
Heres the graph taken from the data of ROSEA.
Irrefutable facts I think showing that property prices 'round my way' have stagnated for the last three years.
Some months up, some months down

i never get why there are always house price falls "round my way".
all these "people" must live in the same place
Man, when you want to search for the post referring to 'round my way' and it was shown to be an area in Sidcup, Bexley, the thread has gone and been deleted.
I proved the round 'myway' house prices hadn't dropped but am not going to go through the hastle of uploading the pics again.:wall:

no wonder they're always complaining that life isn't fair and it's the baby boomers bla bla if they can't get basic math right....0 -
"asylum full of tin foil hatters"
Blacklight
To clarify - that was regarding a serious post on HPC yesterday where someone had established that secret undercover 'back ops' style government owned estate agents were seeking to maintain high house prices... for some reason that wasn't entirely clear.
I stand by my statement.
While we're taking things out of context:
There is shortage of property to purchase
There is no shortage of housing in the UK0 -

This is quite a desperate assumption.
I previously posted an example of a property that I knew of where there had been 10 bidders.
That property was won by a bid over the valuation price by 12% and was in need of major modernisation.

My colleague did not win the bid and went on to win another property where he had to pay £294k
Why do you presume only good quality properties have been listed?
There will be a range of quality properties, however given there was a reduction of supply and demand, it would be far more accurate in my opinion that the range of quality properties bought remains the same.
If there was a flood of supply of properties with the reduced demand then theoretically people would go for the better quality one, however that was not the case.
There have been plenty of anecdotals over the last couple of years where the quality of properties have not been good.:wall:
