In the Wolverhampton shop they have Betty Crocker candles for .79p. Also Carmel Wagon Wheels for .55p which the kids seem to love. :D

In the Heanor store yesterday they had the Tesco Naturally Laundry Liquid 1.5Ltr for 99p, it's £4.00 at the moment in Tesco or three for two.
I tried it today and it's good so I may get some more if it hasn't all gone.

Please does anyone know whether the Stroud branch is particularly worth a visit? Its the only Home Bargains anywhere near me and I have never been...wondered if I could justify an hour's round trip?! Thanks.

I've never left empty handed! It's a decent size & Stroud is a nice little town to wander round.

Ruth_honey: thanks for the info! Is the store easy to get to in the town itself? (Never been to Stroud but could well be paying a visit I think very soon!)

Yeah. It's in the Merrywalks centre at the bottom of the hill. Will you be driving there? There's a multistory car park by the cinema.
Last time I was in Stroud (My mum works there-I live in London and there's no HB anywhere near here!), there was a lot of roadworks going on in the Slad road, so you might get caught up in those. That was early May, though.
Stroud has some lovely individual shops. Moonflower is nice for pretty gift-type things. They also have Wilkinsons, M & Co, The Works, some nice cafes and a lovely jewellery shop a few doors down from the Wetherspoons. Be warned-the hills are quite steep and it might be better to start at the top & leave your HB shopping til last!

Ruth_Honey: Thank you for the brilliant info! :) Have just persuaded my OH to come with me for a little outing to Stroud on Tuesday. We will be aware of the possible roadworks, thanks for the warning.
Can't wait for a good wander around and a good shufty in HB.:j

Glad I could help. Have a good shop! I'm off to the Northampton store next weekend. Off on holiday, so having a little detour to get my HB fix!

Spennymoor store had lots of scrap-booking things - albums (2.99), make a scrapbook in 60 minutes kit (6.99) and spare album sheets (1.49/pack)
All had a very masculine theme, the kit was marked as "boys" and all prices are very approximate, my memory ain't what I'd like it to be.
My daughter loves scrapbooking and bought the boys 60 minute kit -£3.99, Not too boyish and really nice qulity with some transfers and board cut outs to use - some said cool and rock but no real boy references. Hope this helps
Make £10 per day in July £45.48/£310
    June £232.66, May £310.36, April £310.19, March £287.32, February £250.18, January £257.24
    Swagbucks in 2015 £65/£150
