Hosting and Webspace

I am currently with UK2. They want £78 to renew my website space for 2 years. I have a .biz domain.

The cheapest I found was one.com for 90p per month; but they cannot transfer .biz names.

Can you recommend any others?

    Have a look at NetFirms.

They have a deal on at the mo, due to expire 31st Oct.

I've already taken up this offer and I'm mightily impressed.

Please excuse me if I've got the wrong end of the proverbial stick.

Does this look too good to be true?

    What is the catch?
  • just in case - don't confuse domain name registration with website hosting.

a .co.uk should cost only a few quid per year at the most, but to have hosting will usually be a set monthly figure depending on the package. Hosting is like renting space on their servers for all your website content to exist within.

Sorry to state the obvious, but it seems obvious to me that there are lots of people using this board who might not realise the difference.

No catch, other than the renewal cost goes back up to $120 (£70).

I've signed up for it, myself. I've also set a reminder for just before renewal, so that I can decide whether to pay up and continue, or cancel.

You can't go wrong really. £6 for 2x .com domain names, 20gb hosting space, 750gb traffic limit per month, 100 pop3 email addresses etc...

Hi, was wondering if any one else if using this company, are they any good?

Are there any other better companies that offer a better deal?
