    thanks shanks :A that's brilliant :D

Is it runny, or is it normal mayo texture?

    How's the taste?

    Its normal mayo textu
re and taste. For me it needed extra flavour but Idont think if you didnt tell anyone they wouldnt guess it didnt contain egg. Prob very MS for Shirley. My one gripe but its small is that it took about 2x as long to make as an egg one needed lots of oil to achieve right consistency just had some and it is a bit "lighter" than real mayo but fine taste wise

I think so arty:) is it all dried grapes you're not keen on? I'd say dried dates chopped might be a nice alternative?

shanks, that's great feedback, really useful thank you:A

    butternut squash risotto

    160g butternut squash
    500g rice
    80 ml oil
    80g mature cheddar
50g dried peas, soaked and cooked as per packet instructions (100g if using tins to save time)
    3/4 litre stock
    the usual spices :)

Make up the risotto on the stove and roast the squash in the oven with the skin on, sliced as thinly as you can manage at about 200C with a tsp oil and salt on. put on top of the risotto when cooked. and a little caramelised. Non stick teflon baking liners are great for things like this so you need less oil
:) stir it in at the last minute.

Use half the oil to start the risotto off (add peas, add rice, add
3/4 litre stock), and the rest to drizzle over the finished product. Cheese- stir half in with the squash, sprinkle the rest over the top. Add salt to taste, and plenty of freshly ground black pepper.

Spicy pea and apple soup, serves 4 each time, needs HM bread to fill hungry tummies :)

200g marrowfat peas soaked and cooked as per packet instructions

1 Bramley apple weighing 150 grams
    200g onion
    65ml oil
    50g sr flour
garam masala, garlic, salt and pepper

chop apple and onion with minimal waste :) fry in oil, until onions are soft and a bit see-through. Add flour, spices and peas and stir until flour has become a sticky paste with the oil and coated everything, then add appox 3/4 litre water or stock. Add the liquid in little bits stirring well after each addition to prevent lumps.

Blitz in food processor, taste and adjust seasoning :)
