Firefox thanks for your sterling work for us, I really appreciate it, and I know you have plenty else on your mind. :A
If I toasted the bag of peanuts and added 6tbspns raw rapeseed (this is what I do now) but also a ground bag of linseeds, how much linseed plus oil would I need to satisfy the whole families needs?
So it would be:
1x 200g bag peanuts
90g rapeseed oil
and one of these:

hiya! I guesstimate I'll be able to put methods up on the weekend, at the moment I'm just flinging any time I've got at getting the costings and ingredients up for each one.
I realise, which I didn't at the start of the challenge, that some of you are wanting to follow this yourselves and so you'd like things understandably to be ready sooner.
I tried to be responsible about that and not put it on old-style and not call it recipe thread or something that implies it's anywhere near finished!
But I am sorry that things are less ready than people need/hopeI do hope that big list of frugal meal planners available elsewhere on the internet that I posted earlier will help people lots in the meantime

Dinna fash thysel' lass.
Its coming on just fine. Dont go feeling "pressurised" by any feelings that anyone might want to be starting in on this now personally - I dont think that is what is happening at all. I think the vast majority of people "get" what you're doing - and are just eager to help out.:)
Anyone who takes much of a look at this realises what we're all trying to achieve. There will always be people who "skim" read on any thread and "miss the message" because of it - but most people DO get it.:)
WILL THIS HELP?

Gosh you were busy on here last night...I do hope that you managed to get some sleep and that's what you're doing now.0

Quick thought - to the poster who complains her hubbie eats the ingredients she has set aside in the fridge for the evening meal
Had you thought of putting "reserved" ingredients into a tupperware (or similar) box or two - labelled "DINNER" (that way it would be immediately apparent that those ingredients werent "available" for snacking). Even better - if you have a storage container or two that isnt see-through (so hubbie would have to physically open any container to see what is inside it - rather than spotting at a quick glance that a titbit that he fancied was inside it)?
