Password put in wrongly: help

A friend has put a password on her pc - she`s running on 2000 pro now she can`t access her pc because its locked her out, despite putting the right one in.It keeps telling her she`s not in the right user group, tried to remove it through bios, but no luck.
Anybody any ideas?
