What exactly shows on your credit file? if it shows all up to date then just pay it..... I can't see, so you need to see it and then amend the bits above (in the letter) dependant on what your credit file reads...2010 - year of the troll

It shows all payments under the arrangement as up to date (lots of green zero's!) and the account status is shown on Experian as satisfactory. The special indicator field states 'arrangement'

Right, so all you need to do is pay it. The special indicator will go.:D

Be careful doing this, they will default you and will not back down...... just a heads up.
Although to get them to listen you sometimes have to make this stand, only you can decide if that is the right thing for you or not mate. Good Luck.2010 - year of the troll

Cheers mate, they've already defaulted me but decided to do it 5 months ago.... 3 years after the account ran into difficulty!0 -
Hi guys
Well the saga still goes on with Crappy 1 and the fact that they are not prepared to accept my payment in full on the basis that they remove the default. They insist that the default was issued correctly and they have even claimed in a phone call this evening that it was sent by Recorded Delivery - they cannot provide a POD though!
I have sent the 2 letters now from the templates thread and the last one they did not reply to. Do I just now proceed with a SAR request?
I know this may sound a bit vague but this thread details the action taken to date. I have also told them that I will not be making any further payments.
Is this the correct step to take next?

Hi, I hope everyone is well!
My 2 debts with Crappy 1 (Credit Card) - £580 and Lloyds TSB (Personal Loan) - £530 are both now subject to a SAR request (letter sent last week) in the hope of removing the defaults that were put on my credit file in 2009 despite originally running into trouble with these companies in 2006. They have never sent me any default notice.
In the meantime should I pay these amounts in full to at least show these as 'satisfied' and improve my credit score that bit more?
Also, can I put a narrative on my file to say that the defaults were only applied once I had increased my payments further? My payment history however shoul show this.
Appreciate anybody's help!

why are you sending a sar? why and who suggested this wasted resource?
It will achieve nothing except cost you £20!2010 - year of the troll
