I was in Lincoln High St branch today and when I went through the checkouts I had a till spit telling me that I will also get an extra 500 points when I spend £50 at the next shopping nights on 11th and 25th November - thats in addition to the £12 of points for £50.

That means I can finish my shopping on 25th November

I'm not quite sure what happened because I'm not an expert Bootser and didn't make a proper note of what I had before I went, but went to the Trafford Centre tonight:

£249.99 (yelp!) Boots smooth skin -- is back down to this price from £299.99 & receipt points this out! (Is in lovely white bag.)
    - £5.00 mailing voucher wys £30 on electrical beauty
    £3.99 Vit C 500mg, 90 tablets
    £0.00 Berry effervescent re-energise
    £1.99 Vit B complex 60 tablets
got another of these too because of 342 but that doesn't show up on the receipt for some reason
-£1.00 mailing coupon wys £5 on Boots vitamins
    £6.00 No7 credit card holder
    -£5.00 goldie

    Total £250.97

Paid with new Amex so will get 5% off as well.

    Got a new goldie.

    6000 points Christmas evening

500 pts 'offer points coupon' -- I think this is a combination of 100 pts Vit C from magazine, 250 pts (this is the one I can't quite remember) wyb 342 vitamins from mailing and then, just in case, I presented a 150 pts wys £20 from mailing because I know I won't use it otherwise so didn't mind if it was wasted.SA said it worked (it said not valid with store-wide points events) and I don't think I had anything else so it must have done.

250 pts 'points offer' -- I think this was the acm total spend voucher which I printed out this morning and which said it couldn't be used with store-wide points events. Again, SA said it worked and I can't think what else I might have offered. Was a bit fazed because I don't normally spend this much money!

So a total of 6750 points back, plus a goldie, plus a till spit giving me an extra 500 points (in addition to the 1200 points) when I spend £50 or more at the next Christmas evening, 11 and 25 November. Am planning to buy perfume and have a mailing coupon for 500 pts wys £30 on any fragrance, so should get 2200 points back for a £50 spend even if none of my other total spend coupons work.

Also, in another transaction, used another 100 Vit C points coupon for the 99p tub of 30 chewable tablets and the free berry re-energise tablets. SA scanned the berry ones first and they just went through as £0.00 even before the Vit C was scanned.

So am very happy bunny tonight. Now to work out how to use the smooth skin thingy...
  • I also had a great afternoon - spent £105 overall, but split into 2 transactions, got lots of 342's Xmas presents for the kids and family and used two of the No7 goldies and a 300points when you buy No7 P&P Intense serum and bought the No7 mascara with the free eyeshadow gift (for my daughter) and ended up with 2700 points on my card and 2 till spits of the extra 500 points for use at the next Boots Xmas events!

Then went off to M&S and picked up their special offer of 6 bottles of Cava for £18.76 (reduced from £44.94).

Have now had dinner and 3 glasses of Cava and all is right with the world!

Thanks to all who responded to my earlier query!
  • Forgot to add that I also got another 2 goldies as well (I have never had so many packs of No7 facial wipes!).
  • Does anyone know if the £5 off a £30 spend for electrical beauty can be used twice? I've got my eyes on the Braun wet and dry epilator!

  • Morning everyone

I must say, some of you are professional bargain calculators :)

This £5 off £30 electrical beauty spend - is that a code that someone might be able to share? I'm after an £80 electric razor. I do have an Advantage Card but probably not used it within the last year. They don't seem to offer me anything ever... I suspect because I'm a man I'm afraid...

I'm not sure if the electrical beauty code can be used online but there is another code here for £5 off - so you could use that and order online and also get your £12 in points today.
