Can you actually have more than one Halifax Reward account?

The current limit is three. However, from 01/11/09 (they're updating the T&C's), you can only have one joint and one sole Reward Current Account.
Anything I post is my opinion, so from time to time I may be wrong. I try to provide answers based in fact, however I don't know everything, so (like all posters on MSE), take what I say with a pinch of salt.

By the way, the new T&Cs are available here

I've uploaded a scanned PDF version of the new T&Cs a while ago.

The pre and post 1st November 2009 T+Cs can be seen in this document on the Halifax website.

I have been looking for these everywhere on the Halifax Website to post on the guide, where did you find them? Probably somewhere so obvious that I've overlooked them. :o Cheers.

Is the new T&C for new customers only or this apply to current and new customers?

All customers are effected. In line with the current terms and conditions Halifax have provided the minimum 30 days notice (mailing began back in August/ September). The update has been done in line with the new E.U. Payment Services Directive which comes into force on 01/11/09.

That said, although it stipulates one sole and one joint under the new T&C's, Halifax have not announced plans for those who will be in breach of this condition (from 01/11/09). Right now, as far as I am aware, everyone who opened their three Reward Current Accounts before 31/10/09 get to keep them (for the time being).

I actually couldn't find a link to them anywhere on the Halifax site.
In the original Reward account thread on here there is a link posted which originally went to what was then the current T+Cs. It now goes to the recently published document.

Ah, good to know I'm not loosing it. They have a relatively easy to find Terms & Conditions page, but the Reward Current Account is the only one omitted.

While the new T&C's become active for existing customers from 1st Nov, think they apply to existing customers from the date they were published, ie can't apply for more than 1 sole and 1 joint

My husband also received that letter from Halifax today. He has an agreed overdraft of £600 on the account and we use that to the max every month at the moment as we are trying to clear some debt and the interest on that is only about £6 a month at the moment. With the new changes it will go up to over £30 a month and we are now considering changing (had been looking before). Are Alliance & Leicester any good?
