How are Eon discounts calculated?
Options
To the Eon rep how are the discounts calculated, is it off the total cost of the bill or is it as my second example?
total bill for year
£1215.52 - (10.10% of £1215.52) - (6% of £1215.52) - (2% of £215.52) = £995.51
or
£1215.52 - (10.10% of £1215.52) = £1092.76 - (6% of £1092.76) = £1027.19 - (2% of £1027.19) = £1006.65
I am currently on energy saver v2 which ends in Oct and the example I have given is SaveOnline.

Hi Stan
Discounts are given on each quarterly bill. They are shown on the second page under Summary and are applied before VAT.
The usage for the period the bill covers is calculated as a combination of primary and secondary units.
The full discount is then applied to the total before VAT.
This will be as per the first example in your post.
Hope this explains the calculation but give me a shout if you need more info. Will be happy to help.

so if the discounts are 6%, 2%, and 10.10% why not just say there is a discount of 18.1% for SaveOnline?
No wonder people cannot work out the best deals.
