I think I read somewhere on here that EON have a sting in the tail with a higher bill when you switch away from them - but before I take the plunge with Scottish Power please does anyone know of any catches with Scottish Power - are there any exit fees or similar with them?
Many thanks in advance.
Yes, Eon are sneaky with the way they don't grant discount on the final bill. It's a never-ending exit fee by another name. Be careful here. In my (Yorkshire) region the cheapest SP tariff without a cancellation fee* is (get this!) ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY SIX POUNDS more expensive than EDFs Online V5 tariff based on average usage! EDF are giving £60 cash back for a dual fuel switch, btw.
* SP Online (no standing charge).Call me Carmine....

So that still makes you quids in by more than (get this!) FIFTY POUNDS with Scottish Power.(Even more at this time of year.)

Stop wasting time with acrostics, try concentrating on posting truthful information. The cheapest Scottish Power tariff without a cancellation fee is only thirty pounds more expensive per year (and with no need for messing about with what EDF think your direct debit should be). I thought you were a stickler for full disclosure and completeness? Why post such a dishonest sentence?0 -

Acrostics?Talking of full disclosure/completeness, what SP tariff would that be?

Paying quarterly, Scottish Power standard tariff is only £23 dearer than the cheapest - EDF track and save 2 (£1195 v £1173). So that's £3.66 over two months.
Paying by D/D, SP's OnlineExtraSaver6 is only £29 dearer than EDF's Online 5 (£1029 v £1000). Less than a fiver over two months.0 -

The pathetic SP quarterly tariff you mention is actually (get this!) TWO HUNDRED AND TWENTY SIX POUNDS more expensive than EDF online 5!
And the SP Online Saver 6, I hate to be the first to tell you, has cancellation fees attached. Did you miss that T&C? Plus, certainly in my Yorkshire region , is STILL (get this!) ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE POUNDS more expensive than EDF online 5
I suppose it's too much to ask for an apology for accusing me of posting dishonestly?Call me Carmine....
