Thread 'tick' in which I've posted had disappeared

Up until the recent site update, if i posted in any thread, a blue tick-box showed against thread title in the relevant Forum list.

Now, I have to physically subscribe to any threads I've posted in - why is this?

If you mean the subscribed.gif, then for me that has only ever appeared when you are subscribed to a thread.

In fact that is the name of the image. subscribed.gif.

Looking back at previous versions of the forum software that hasn't changed.

Did you mean the arrow thread_dot.gif or thread_dot_hot.gif on the thread status icon?

That has always been the indicator to show that you have replies in a thread for as long as I have used MSE and other vBulletin forums.

Is there an option to subscribe to any thread you reply to? although I don't know why that option would have changed for Mayday but not for me.

I have never knowingly subscribed to a thread, but the tick shows for me when I post in a thread.
But then when I click 'Go to first unread post' always takes me to the last post in the thread, so I figured I was just an oddity... :D

Now that you mention it, there is.

From: User CP --> Edit Options

Maybe mayday had that enabled without realising it? And it became deselected for some reason?

The subscribed.gif does only appear when you have subscribed to a thread.

(Not to be confused with the firstnew.gif or lastpost.gif buttons which indicate unread posts rather than whether you yourself have posted in the thread or subscribed to it)

As stated in my original post, the blue tick always appeared in threads I had posted in - until the recent site update.

As it does with other Forums that use the same software as MSE.

As said, that symbol indicates that you are subscribed to a thread, not just that you have replied to it.

This can clearly be seen by hovering your mouse over it.

If you adjust your options so that:

    User CP --> Edit Options

    20p3n5u.png

then you should once again automatically subscribe to threads you reply to.

As already stated in my post above.
