don;t know about your mates...I'm really jealous just hearing about your travels! Have been to Aussie several times and am sure that you'll love it! WOrk hard now and grab all the benefits you can while you're out there - and you're right, your money will go so much further! x
Proud to be dealing with my debts!;)

((Ahhh)) never mind you will have the last laugh when your're in Aus:D

Bit cheeky and off topic but who did you book your flight with ms_london as my daughter is going to go at the end of Sept for 5/6 months and I'm trying to find the cheapest option for her.

Thanks everyone!! Got a nice day planned tomorrow, so I'm feeling a bit chirpier now (plus I've only got 2 1/2 hours left!!).

I booked my flight with e-bookers & got some bonus nectar points (around £30 worth), am flying with Cathay Pacific and its about £500 for one way..

Use kelkoo or a search engine to search for best offer - am sure you could find a return for a similiar price.

Is your daughter only going to Aus or different destinations during that time? I'd be happy to give you my email address to pass on to your daughter - if she needs any help or a friendly face when she's out there.

We're watching my flatmate do a 10K run tomorrow in Hyde Park (notice I said "watch" tee hee, or should that be mwahahahahahaha!!) so am sitting here thinking what goodies we can take for a picnic. Lidl's is closeby to work so may pop in there afterwards.....

    xx

There's always someone worse off than you....

I'm working nights at the moment - have you tried sleeping in this heat with the sun full on?

It's not easy - in fact I think it's impossible!!

Spare a though for all us night shift-ers..... at 3:30am:rotfl:

It's got to be the hottest day of the year and I'm working..
wish I was & earning money  saying just think in a few hours you'll home alot richer and more money for your trip which should be brilliant.
    The worst thing is friends keep texting me;

why not just text them back and say let's meet up for lunch or come around to mine later....if they're in the park can you go there and take your lunch with you? they may think your on annual leave- have you actually told them in your work today? even part-time workers have paid time off.
It wouldnt suprise me if most of my "friends" have forgotten I'm going to Australia too you know.

You're going to Australia for at least a few months if not longer from what I remember reading- is my recollection of story correct? if they don't remember they should- if they are your friends they'll miss you. genuine ones are usually the ones that do remember and care (although admittedly some people forget because they're bad at remembering dates or their attention/focus is on other matters).
  • It can not be that bad, at least you’re here!

    Keep up the good work

Just one hour 5 minutes left, had better get on & do some filing I suppose  !!

At least I will be richer once I finish today, good thing really as I am broke!!

At least the sun is still out, so I still get some time to pop to the shops or sit out in my (non existant) garden ;) !!

Thank you all for your kind words. You're all stars!!

Enjoy the rest of your weekends.

Oooh, I can smell a BBQ!! Yum!! xx
