Halifax cancelled my credit card

I know I told them where to stick it as I have way more credit than I need already! Then they tried I may not be accepted for another card with them and I said I don't want another card with you I have a john lewis card that gives me points, you give me nothing lol.
LOL, just for the added little extra i'd have said "you do know I work/used to work for a large high street bank don't you?"
Imagine their faces - fools! :rotfl:

Luckily I've not been fired yet, but the 'i work for a bank card' works well when someone tries to sell you their card protection insurance...... You should try it sometime!!Kavanne

Hmmm, til they call my bluff and I end up looking a bigger tit than the man utd fans LOL (sorry sutton mate)
I'll leave that skill to you me thinks, I just hang up when they thy and sell me stuff, or if face to face just pick up my mobile and make a call. They soon shut up and get the hint (rude but direct!)

If they leave an unused accout open "they are exposed to risk"
Because of the Credit Crunch they are all trying to reduce the amount of credit they are exposed to.
I have had current account which I opened in 1953.
Until last week it had a £300 overdraft facility.
Last week they told me that as my account had been inactive for a long time they would close it after March 31 unless I reactivated it.
Not quite as harsh as with your credit card but with the same objective.
I am not complaining. I have got another current account which is very active indeed.
with that one I have twice been checked for money laundering. As if !!!...............................I have put my clock back....... Kcolc ym0 -
