Hi I opened a fixed rate(5.01%) account and setup a dd with ICICI. Under their instructions I sent an openeing cheque to them for £1000.
During this time the Bank of England has dropped interest rates again and ICICI have ameneded their rates to 4.65%.
Will I still get the 5.01% that I opened my account with? I hope so.
Thanks

If you received confirmation that the account was opened then yes, they would honour the rate.0

You can't add further finds to an existing ICICI fixed rate. So if you caught the rate, you won't be able to add any extra to it. If you want to pay more in, you'd have to open a new Fixed rate account at the current rate.0

I opened the account with £1000 and am wating for the account opening details to come back to me. Then I am going to transfer the rest of my money into the accont. As soon as I have the details that allow me to.0

I don't think you will be allowed to with a fixed rate - best give them a call to check.0
