Debate House Prices
In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non MoneySaving matters are no longer permitted. This includes wider debates about general house prices, the economy and politics. As a result, we have taken the decision to keep this board permanently closed, but it remains viewable for users who may find some useful information in it. Thank you for your understanding.

I've seen that, since the recent debacle on this board, there are many more new or different people posting here.
It's livened up the board and brought lots of interesting new debate and ideas.
Wecome to everyone. It just shows that every cloud has a silver lining :T

I wanted to post something similar....but then I got scared about starting a new thread.
It certainly is nice to see all the new posters, some with alternative views, which can only enrich what we had before. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I kind of enjoyed watching the same dozen posters insulting each other over and over. Now there is a danger of seeing sensible discussions about real issues. No fun at all.Been away for a while.0

While it is nice to have so much more debate it does have to be said that we do get so many threads these days it is hard to keep up...
...not that I would get rid of any like what happened during the 'purge of '08'I think....0 -
Okaaaaay, reading between the lines here, did I miss a big arguement?
I don't know....laptop breaks so I can't get on the net for a month, I get a new laptop and get a whole day back on the net before some tosspot steals the underground cable and plunges me (and 800 others) into no bloody internet connection again for over a week. Then I come on here and find everything has changed. AND I missed something. *sulk*0 -

There was a teeny, tiny issue with threads being removed by a mod as they were considered irrelevent (one was entitled ''Quantitive easing').
It got a little heated and wasn't handled very well at the time but, next day, M Lewis decided to rename the board (to cover all the added stuff about economy etc) and Da Da...here it is.

And in the meantime, I discovered the Moneysaving Arms discussion time and after initially being a little eek about posting there, I am now driving them all up the wall.....We made it!
