Ahhh... but politics doesn't come into eurovision does it. It's purely on musical merit. ;)

So most of inflation is down to food and oil. Most of which is purchased in $.
The whole western world drops rates by the same amount, basicly stoping any currancy falls/gains.
How do you work out this is going to increase inflation?

PS !!!!!! if you can not admit you want rates to go up stop agreeing with bizarre comments like this by thanking them, you are such a hypocrite.

I don't believe that I was advocating raising rates last week - just not cutting them. If you have an actual quote from last week of me saying that I wanted rates raised I'll be happy to address that.....

I'll thank who I like without having to justify why I'm awarding thanks, thank you very much..... :)

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

Since Labour arrived it seems everything they have done has made me worse off. It seems every choice I have made has been met by a labour policy to make me worse off, from when I was in education to my current choice of career, from the purchases I make to trying to be a FTB in these current times... so no!

    Try being the operative word.
Fail being the one coming up.

Savings which have hardly been passed on.

Want to simulate growth and get people spending?
Stop vital basics such as fuel being ridiculously priced so that companies behind them can earn mega profits.

Want to take drastic action for the good of the people? Start there. Nationalise utilities and petrol, not the banks.
Worse thing we ever did was let those go. It's shameful.

Well the goverment could lower the cost by lowering the duty on pertol etc!
Duty is the majority of the pump price why would nationalising it make it cheaper as it is clear they are happy with the price?

Without banks mate where do your wages go?
I can't be paid in crude oil!
