Anyone know when there might be a 10p listing day on ebay - or something similar?

Well with new fee changes, depending what you sell and what you start for, every day.

Its the final value fees to worry about!

Books and other media for instance list at 5p if start price is 99p or under.

You can tell I haven't listed anything for a while!

Thanks for that - very helpful!

I think we have seen the end of Cheap Listing days with the new fee structure now in place. What I expect to see is more along the lines of "Free gallery day".

  • For me, selling clothes that are now too big for me following a big weight loss, the new fee structure is better.

Most of the stuff will go for less than £29.99 so the 5.25% fee is not bad.

Have set auctiva to autolist for me over five days or so. Had already written the ads and added the photos.

Ebay usually announce cheap or offer days about 3 days in advance, usually the first I hear about them is when I log in here and one of the Steves has posted something!

I think that straightforward cheap listing days may be few and far between now, as insertion fees have been dropped over the last year.

I'm predicting more promotions along the lines of free insertion if "free" p&p is offered, or promotions in certain catagories only, such as motors or technology that few have seen already this year.

Historically there have been various promotions in the first week of September, and with the fee changes due to come into effect at the end of the month, and upcoming changes to the page layouts, a lot of business sellers and those with shops are holding back some listings rather than listing now, then having to make significant changes in a few weeks. eBay will be keen to bolster listing numbers prior to this.

Thanks. How much would I have to pay to sell a bike for around £60?
