Not sure if this is the right board, so appologies if not. Just noticed that Egg will give you £10 if you register a non Egg account on their Egg money manager.

I think there is another thread were this is mentioned. The main issue has been people getting their £10 which seems to take between 6 and 8 weeks. I got mine after having to hastle them quite a bit through the secure messaging. I don't use the facility hust wanted the £10
  • Do you need to have an Egg account with them to qualify for using the Money Manager?

Don't be frightened or embarrassed at using the egg money manager.
It is a really quick and efficient tool.

I use it to run 11 different credit / savings / accounts ( stoozer)
and would not be without it.
Sign in and you see all your accounts balances instantly,
superb way of keeping up to date with finances.

I do not get any extra spam mails from egg etc
or have been refused any further new credit or deals
    from them.

and egg paid me £15 for signing up last year !!

    regards

  • Remember that First Direct have their equivalent, too,and you don't need to have an account with them. Go to https://www.firstdirect.com and click on 'Internet Banking Plus' at the top centre of webpage.

IF you put any shares you own into the portfolio on https://www.iii.co.uk, it will also pull this in, plus other things like Tesco and Nectar Points

When you log on now there are now 'tabs' - a different layout. It looks nicer but doesn't change the way it works in any way of course. (Hmm! it just got slower too, as they have added extra 'layers' it appears). What do others think?

One small point to note, Egg Money Manager for the moment will only show all your accounts if you are using internet explorer. It is not yet compatible with firefox 'tho you can see your Egg accounts with this browser.

  • A quick question. I have taken Eggs £10 (but still waiting for it to appear), however, how does one stand regarding security ?

Although Egg claim there system is super-secure, at the end of the day, the Ts and Cs on my other credit cards and accounts all state that passwords must be kept secure, not written down and not passed on to anyone.

The problem I see is should unauthorised funds get taken from one of my other credit cards I have placed into Money Manager, does this not give the opportunity to the credit card issuers to use the fact Egg MM is being used an excuse not to resolve the matter to my satisfaction.

    Cheers, Dave
