How much have you spent today - 18/02/06

Options
Well it is 11am and by now I would usually be out and about spending, but instead I am at home about to clean house...I may treat myself to popping out to the little shop and getting a bar of choc as a reward, but we'll see.

So far, zilch! Hurrah! :T

  • I spent £8.40 for me and the Mr's cold medicine, we've been hit hard here with some kind of virus!

I gave the lad at Sainsbury's a £20 at 9am this morning, and he gave me £11 in one pound coins.

I was a little miffed, I wanted to add something to my £2 coin club collection :rotfl:

I have spent £42.00 in Asda,£12.89 in lidl and I needed some makeup,so I spent £15.00 in boots on no7 makeup,I had a voucher for 250 extra points if you purchased £15.00 of any no7 products and I also got the free bag of goodies worth £33.00 + the £5.00 off voucher for spending over £10.00,so I used that to buy some ROC face wipes (5.99) so I only paid 99p,I am going to sit down and have a coffee,I feel I really need one.
  • Just popped out to the local shop today for a few bits and pieces. Spent a total of £7.28 on milk, bread, some fruit, teabags and so on plus a packet of scones.

Scones are good…they make me happy, especially with lots of proper, real butter on them. :D I’ve tried making my own but they turn out like Army biscuits – how bad is that! - lol. :p

I've been to Sainsburys and done a huge shop because my top-up shops have been running away with me lately.

I was aiming for just over £50 (which is higher than normal) so picked up a lot of things to stock up - like the buy 2 deals on washing tabs and domestos - realised 3/4 way round shop that actually hitting £50 wasn't going to be hard after all...

I think the end spend was about £63, which was brought down with coupons to a slightly more manageable £56ish. I can still feel good that I bought hardly anything I don't need and wasn't frivolous - though I am really looking forward to the gorgeous looking fresh tuna steak tonight ;)

    Quite an expensive day today:
    1. £6.25 on bits of uniform for DS1 (who's 'lost' his PE kit!)
    2. £3.43 on cards/wrapping paper for nephew's birthday
    3. £19.96 on nephew's b'day pressie
    4. £10 on 2 pairs of pyjamas for DS1 (who is growing at a rate of knots!!) These were on offer at Woolies (1/2 price)
    5. £10 on 2 Herbie DVDs for DS1
    6. £3.99 on 'named' mug for DS2
    7. £19.98 in NEXT for DS2 (but this was his b'day money - so not from our budget)
    8. £5 on sausage rolls/cakes from bakery (naughty but nice!)
    9. £1.30 on sweets
GRAND TOTAL £59.93 (If don't include DS2's b'day money spending!)

We also opened an ISA (with the Halifax) and deposited £3000!! However, not technically spending, as it's still ours!!!!
