DRO & Vodafone Contract

Options

Hello,

I am in the process of talking to a financial advisor and will be applying for a DRO at the end of June (when the limit increases). I currently have a mobile phone contract with Vodafone – airtime plan and 2x device plans (the first device broke). Vodafone have terminated the airtime plan so this can be included in the DRO however they still want me to cover the cost of both devices which isn’t possible.

The financial advisor has said that these could be included in the DRO I just need to see if they are classed as an unsecure loan or HP. Does anyone know which one it would be? I can’t seem to find the agreements and obviously need a handset. I am able to get a sim only contract through another service provider.

Also, if Vodafone are telling me I still need to pay for the devices how do I go about this? Do I just not pay them and pass the outstanding balances over?

Any help would be great.
